This past weekend, NARAL Pro-Choice California participated in the 49th annual San Francisco Pride Parade and Celebration alongside local and national progressive organizations and community leaders. NARAL Pro-Choice California Director Shannon Hovis spoke on the main stage on Sunday and marched in the parade with Women’s March San Francisco.
“I stand before you today as a bi woman who knows that LGBTQ rights are inseparable from reproductive rights. The ability to control one’s own body, to love who we love, to live authentically in our gender, and to build our families as we choose — these rights intrinsically link the LGBTQ and reproductive freedom movements together,” NARAL Pro-Choice California Director Shannon Hovis told the crowd at San Francisco Civic Center on Sunday.
In her speech, Shannon emphasized her vision for California to guarantee that California will always remain a reproductive freedom state for all people.
