NARAL Pro-Choice California Endorses Dave Min for California Senate
UC Irvine Law Professor and Candidate for California State Senate Earns Endorsement from California’s Leading Pro-Choice Advocacy Group
NARAL Pro-Choice California today announced its endorsement of Dave Min in his bid to represent California’s 37th Senate District. Min is an attorney, policy expert, and law professor who is now seeking to unseat anti-choice Republican incumbent John Moorlach.
“State Senator John Moorlach has spent his time in the California Senate undermining reproductive freedom, actively working to strip away Californians’ healthcare and rights. Orange County deserves far better,” said Shannon Hovis, Director of NARAL Pro-Choice California. “NARAL is proud to endorse Dave Min, who will stand up to politicians trying to insert themselves in personal decisions about pregnancy, and who will be a true champion for Orange County women and families in the state Senate.”
“I’m honored to have earned the endorsement of NARAL Pro-Choice California,” said Professor Dave Min. “NARAL continues to be a strong voice in the fight for women’s reproductive rights, and I am humbled by their trust and support.”
Dave Min has spent over a decade working in financial regulatory law and policy, advocating for progressive values at the Center for American Progress and as counsel to Senator Chuck Schumer. He has pledged to safeguard Californians’ reproductive freedom and stand strong against Republican attacks on abortion access.
On the other hand, Republican state Senator Moorlach has spent his career in Orange County public service attacking reproductive freedom. From directly going after abortion providers and defunding unbiased sex education programs as County Supervisor, to pushing medical disinformation as state Senator, he continues to ignore the needs of women and families in favor of pushing an extreme ideological agenda.
